So remember yesterday I was telling you how I over ate the day before, well guess what, as I was writing that, I opened up 3 bags of snack chips...480 calories...2 little debbie snack cakes 300 calories....and then it dawned on me what the hell am i doing, here I'm telling you what I ate the day before and then here I am doing t again..OMGosh, does it ever stop...

heres some halfway descent news...I did eat a salad....so I'm having more BM's which s good for me and I'm not so cranky....

after dinner and doing things around the house, it was time for bed....so we was laying there and dan says I'm going to get me a pop and something to snack on... ( wait for it) " yea honey bring me a pop and candy too" yes thats what I said...and he did....

So here we are laying in bed watching tv drinking our diet pepsi's and mike and ikes....I sat there enjoying my mike and ikes and all of a sudden I get up put on my slippers run to the alley (with my mike and ikes in hand) toss them in the garbage....OMgosh...what the hell am i doing...I wasn't hungry...I wasn't bored...( you know when the light bulb turns on in your head?) it was just that moment duh!!! my hands need to be busy thats what it is....I use to cross stitch so maye I'll take it up again and keep my hands busy...

well thats my story and sticking too it...

I'll see how well i do tonight....with cross stitch in hand...lol

    Something to try for a short period...Don't deny yourself food, but before you BITE IT you must WRITE IT. Don't beat yourself up.. eating from emotions and running away from old habits is a daily battle. Find you a PEN (Not a pencil...) and a notebook...Arm yourself for battle... Start one battle at a time...remember one loss isn't the war!! emoticon

    No smacking, but I have a suggestion for you. If it's junk and you love it, GET RID OF IT. If it's not in your house, you can't eat it. ;) Now, I know that's not so easy with other people in the picture, but enlist their help to hide their "stash" or whatever for a few weeks until you're past the "mindless eating" portion of this journey.

You can do this!

    Hello,
SMACK!!! Okay now that is over with...way to pay attention...you are growing...woohoo!!! I crochet at night while watching TV for those same reasons. It is a boredom for me so I have a need to work with my hands. Progress girlie!

    Consider yourself SMACKED! We do so many things rote and without thinking. Start thinking what is your older self going to appreciate what you are doing today. If you stop and think about yourself in the the future and what you are doing today and the effects if will have - scary!!!
Plan your food intake by the week and then shop by that list only and you will have much better results.

You can do it kiddo! Sounds like you are thinking! emoticon

Sounds like you have already had that all-important light bulb moment yourself (without the smack!)
Mindless eating is a habit that we all have been stuck on at one point or another.
Busy hands are always a good way to go!
Some yummy hot tea is good, too!
