Yep I bought some asics today at a running store. They did the whole analysis by watching me run on a treadmill and I am a "neutral" runner apparently so they helped me pick some shoes that were appropriate for my running style. The other two types of runners are ones who over pronate or supinate. Anyhow so I went in the store hoping and praying that I had a good running style for the asics tri noosa 7 because they are seriously AWESOME! I mean so bright and colorful just google it and you'll see their awesomeness. Well I was completely and totally utterly devastated when he said that was not a good shoe for my style of running. Ugh oh well so I tried on multiple brands and nothing compared to the asics brand of shoes. So I got some teal/white asics. I took them for a spin and and wow just WOW so much better than my old new balances. I mean they costed me an arm and a leg but I think they will be worth it especially since I've already had shin splints twice in only a couple months of running. I did 3.5 miles again today and shaved 4-5 mins off my time! I used to do it in 42-43 mins and today it was 38 mins approx! It was my first time running in a few weeks because I had some killer shin splints after doing sprints. But I think the weight loss helped and my new shoes for sure. It was so easy to take every step I can't even explain.
So anyways something else I wanted to share with you all is about turkey legs. Wow I just keep learning on this process let me say. So I went to the fair a week ago to see my moms band she manages play and saved up my calories for the day to get a turkey leg. I know there are like 1100 calories in them but I never even get close to finishing them anyways and I figure its better than eating a hot dog. I got it and it was good and I enjoyed it. But it was SUPER SALTY! Oh my gosh I chugged some water after that and not all of it left my body I could tell... So I ended up taking in a pound of water weight so let me just say think twice about eating that or be prepared to do some sweating the next day.
This week has been good weight-loss wise but almost too good. I'm not sure why but I literally took off 3 days from working out and was still actively dropping weight to the point of I was losing too much too fast. So yesterday and today I've been indulging in 1500 calorie days whereas I usually do 1200. Well I sure am enjoying it! And yes I still weigh in every day and I still love doing that because I think it keeps me focused and there are no surprises after a whole week has gone by. Actually I think I have too much of an obsession with the scale. oops not sure how I'm going to wean myself from this one but once I get to my goal weight I would like to start slowly increasing the days in between which I weigh.
These days are good. I look forward to going out and finding a tight shirt to show off my new slimmer body!! I actually hate my medium sized T-shirts now and don't want to go anywhere in public in them because they make me look huge and its all baggy on me now. Yay! Bad news is though I own mostly medium sized tees. oh well no big deal I'm sure I'll accumulate more in the future like I always do.
On Wednesday I am heading back to Auburn U to visit friends and see my boyfriend who I haven't seen since early January! Last time I was nervous to visit but this time I'm excited and I know I can handle it while still having fun. And now I can say I've at least lost 17 pounds (goal is 18 by then) so nobody can make fun of my healthy eating. I know it sounds strange but last time I went I was down 8 pounds and one of my friends was teasing me about it. I mean it didn't bother me but I think really she was just jealous :P Well now she'll be really jealous ha ha but I hope to serve as more of an inspiration this time. I am going to see my sorority sisters and they are helping out with a 5K Saturday morning and I've been looking for a 5K to do with friends!! So a few of them are going to do it while others just help out with general stuff. But my boyfriend is gonna do it with me and he used to run cross country in high school but hasn't really been running lately. He is still skinny and can still run faster than me haha I guess some of us are just naturally more athletic! Well anyways the 5K is for human trafficking so that's neat and we get a shirt too so yay a new small t-shirt!!! And this time I'll be confident asking for it :)
