New T-Shirts. What's so Special About That?

Friday, March 23, 2012

Woo Hoo! New clothes! I mean who doesn’t like getting new clothes?? There is always a great feeling when you add to your wardrobe. I know that these shirts are nothing special, after all they are just your average T-Shirts, nothing special, nothing fancy, but to me these shirts represent much more than just being something to cover myself up with. They represent a whole new chapter in my weight loss journey.

“How can two run of the mil t-shirts represent a new chapter in my weight loss journey you ask?” Well my entire adult life has been spent in massive, MASSIVE pieces of clothing and now things are starting to change. When I started my Weight loss Journey back in October of 2011 I wore a 3X sometimes even a 4X, which as you know are big enough to warrant having their own zip code, but these shirts are different. Here is a pic to show you why.

That’s right! These new shirts are XL! Not 3X or 4X but XL! Sorry I just like saying XL. Never in my adult life have I been able to wear shirts of this size, so as you can imagine, this is a pretty big deal for me. It represents a new beginning. A new chapter if you will. It shows me that the hard work is paying off and that everything so far has been totally worth it.

Totally awesome! I am so happy right now. Now, hopefully my stay in the land of the XL t-shirts is short lived. I would love to get down to a large, but I am going to savor this moment for a while, and I will remember this day for a long time! This is most certainly one of the highlights of my journey so far, and I am really happy that I got to share it with you, my followers! Thanks so much for all of the support, all of the inspiration and motivation that you have given me! You all totally rock!

All the best,

Brett

That is SO AWESOME!!!! Congrats. I hope to some day to get out Lg and XL but having wide shoulders and um..big girl up top I'm not sure that will ever happen without surgery. But oh well as long as the rest of me shrinks.

RAWK ON! From a slightly different stand point, I know how you feel! Like when I am leaner and in prime time shape, I can walk into ANY store in the mall and pick out anything... it all FITS me... its up to ME to decide what I like and what I dont like VS when I'm pudgy.. I am forced to buy what fits or what camouflages my pudgy parts.
Needless to say my shopping bill goes up when I'm lean hahaha!!!
Congrats my friend - how exciting... I guess you can turn those old T's into tents, or throws... XL baby!!!!!!!!!!! (-: Keep on truckin' you are doing great!!!!!!!

Awesome work! Smaller clothes is more exciting than smaller numbers on a scale!

This is all kinds of awesome. It's a perfect example of a non-scale victory.

Well done, buddy. You should feel absolutely proud!
