Almost got killed on the freeway today. Coming home from Yorba Linda after breakfast and haircut at my friend Beatrice Irene Trompeter sister's Sandy Silva salon where she works. Transition from the 91 E to the 57 S. Big rig goes under the freeway and is too large, rips off the top of his truck and trailer of his rig in the slow lane. We are in fast lane and right in front of us is a Big rig that Jack knives and straightens out to avoid collateral damage but is hit by debree. We stop just 5 feet from damaged trailer and avoid being killed because the rig in front of us gets hit. Irene at first thought a car had fallen from the overpass and dropped in front of us, only I could see what was happening before it happened. We were able to drive around and go home and no one was injured. I use to work for a trucking company and if one of our guys had done this they would have been in so much trouble. Big signs tell everyone height restrictions on the underpasses. What an idiot!

So the last week has had some highs and lows. Bowling has sucked mostly because my ankle is really bothering me now. Always burns throughout the night and have to ice everyday. Warmed up by Tuesday, bowled really bad on league and not much better on Wed. practice only I did manage to pull 2 good games out of 6. Been going to the Chiropractor 3 times a week for my ankle and jaw (TMJ) problem.

Last weekends Corvette run was canceled due to weather and rescheduled fro this Sun. On Sat. we are going to Santa Anita Racetrack for watch the ponies. I love this outing we do every year. Our dear friends Bob & Pat sponsor the race and everyone comes, brings food and you never know what your going to eat. It is a good time for all.

Had my 56th birthday yesterday, the 21st. Jeff got up this morning while I was doing the dishes and make the comment that we are both now circling the train. Thanks so much honey. Hate feeling old.

My friend Irene paid to have my haircut today and I paid for color. Hair turned out to be a beautiful caramel brown. Only it wasn't the color I wanted. I have been trying over the last 6 months to slowly lighten my hair to a dark blond or very light brown. With all the gray/silver hair coming in now, the light color doesn't show the change so soon. Well now I am back to square one to getting back to a lighter color. Oh well had I died in the car today at least my hair would have looked great! lol

Hope you all had a great week!

LMAO!!! You would have looked fabulous for your funeral!! I almost got killed by a semi who decided he needed to be in my lane when I was in lane 2 of a 5 lane freeway in Detroit (he was in lane 1). I contest to this day that I was picked up and PUT in front of that semi because there is no way I could have moved myself, I was completely blocked in, and the only thing I remember is seeing him coming into my lane and thinking "HELP!" and then the next thing I knew I was IN FRONT of the semi.

So glad you didn't die today. Hmmmm... I don't remember being told anything about my hair looking good if in an accident, just having clean underware emoticon . I'm still entertaining the idea of coming to LA in October for the Rock n Roll LA race. Not sure, but still looking into it.

Hope your ankle gets better soon.

WOW, Teri!! That was a close call! Too close for much comfort. I bet the adrenalin was pumping! So glad you are OK.
I have my hair colored as well and use a dark brown for roots and with a red on the ends. Makes a nice auburn. We are starting to lighten it as well due to roots. I have been 100% silver gray for many yrs. and it makes me look 15 yrs. older. Just don't need that until I get there (LOL)

A belated Happy Birthday to you. Hope you celebrated more than what you posted but then a hair cut and color is a nice treat too. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
