I finally got rid of those peanut buster parfaits I was wearing since February. and I feel so much better. As a matter of fact, the last one I had tasted nasty; and I wondered why I craved it in the first place.
My training for the half marathon is still on schedule, a little over a month to go now. I have a 12.5 mile run scheduled for this weekend. I am not sure where I am going to run. I ususally run near my home but the farmers are working in the fields now and putting down manure - it smells so bad. I got nauseous on my last run. I tried running the other direction through the woods, but got paranoid when I think I came too close to a skunk.
It seems like I an running slower since I started to train for the half marathon and using the walk/run method. It seemed like I could not run more than 2 minutes at a time. So, My last run, I decided to see If I could go the 5k distance. I did it (although I stopped for a few seconds because I saw a critter in the woods. It was just a deer, so I continued on. I worry about meeting a wolf or bear on my run). MY time was actually a minute slower jogging the distance without the walk breaks. But just knowing i could still do was reassuring.
After my half marathon, I am going to do running mate media's Fastest 5k program again.
