Stress and Surgery

Thursday, March 22, 2012

Well, this surgery was supposed to help my back pain. Only I could get a damn infection 3 weeks into recovery. Of course Dr. blew me off for 5 days. Finally got my GPs office to throw a fit at surgeon and got in and got antibiotics. Now I am on all my regular meds, (oh byt my Celexa was doubled), plus antibiotics (oh yeah...this one causes joint pain, YAY), and now muscle relaxants. So much for my stress level lowering. I am about to loose my mind! i just want this all over so I can move on with my life and my working out.

I know what you mean! My surgery was only supposed to be outpatient with a 2 week recovery time. It ended up being inpatient as there were complications and 5 weeks recovery. I ended up on more pain meds for about a week as I pulled something in my side during recovery. I have no idea what I did to myself. I am almost 2 months out from surgery and feeling good, but a little tired.

I hope the rest of your recovery goes better!!
