Where did the time (and calories) go?

Usually, I blog every day day. I see the last one was March 14, and now it is March 22. I have never had such a long lapse. This is very similar to what happens with the calories. Somehow, life starts happening, and time passes, and your intentions are blown into the winds.

Good news: I finally started walking again. Well with more daylight and with spring, it is easier. But I have lapsed on the strength training, and have to get back into that. And I have lapsed on the nutrition tracking. I found a partner, and we would check each other's tracker, but she got busy and is not doing it, and I just can't seem to do it by myself consistently. I wonder how I could find a nutrition tracking partner on spark? The idea would be to check each others food tracker and make comments every single day. Sure we could miss a day or two, but it would work wonders if I knew someone else was reading my tracker.

    Carol - My tracker is not public, but I can understand how having someone commenting on your nutritional tracker helps you stay focused and in your calorie range, but I wouldn't be much help. There are days when I know I'd like to have ice cream or pudding, so I watch what I'm eating all day so that I have 'room' to eat dessert. Since Linda (geminisue) is willing to take Monday and Wednesday, maybe there are others on the butterfly team that might be able to help you out.

    I've found that I do the best when I track everything I'm planning to eat for that day in the morning. It is especially helpful since dinner is our biggest meal and tends to cause the most trouble for me. So I actually start with dinner and work backwards!!!

    Hmmm, interesting idea. My tracker is public, but never thought of doing that. Could be interesting, but also would be unsure what to say or what another might say to me. IE if they said oh, ice cream again... I would feel the need to justify it to them and I shouldn't have to. If I have the calories, I will sometimes have ice cream. My attitude is there is nothing on the banned list, just all foods in moderation. So don't think I would volunteer, but if a few of us read each others food tracker, you never know when one of us Butterflies might come by. :)
