So, my challenge for the next 5 weeks is the 30 day shred with extra cardio on the side. I started this challenge on Monday and I've been feeling great ever since. I made a little calendar to check off my workouts. Sundays will be my day of rest and I've added tae bo and kick boxing to the mix 3 times a week.
For each level during the shred, I will start off using the 3 pound weights for the first 5 days, then move on to the 5 pounders. This is to intensify my program. Each week I've also changed the day I would do kickboxing and tae bo to help keep my body guessing too. I jogged for the first time around my local park too. 5 minutes of walking and about 25 minutes of jogging. This is another form of exercise I'd like to incorporate too.
So far I'm on level 1 day 3. I can do almost 20 pushups before getting tired and my muscles are starting to find the 3 pound weights too light. But, I'll stick to my program and wait to use the 5 pound weights on Saturday. Hoping to see a lot of progress because Jillian Michaels sure is a killer.
