This morning Dad finally talked me into trying one of his meal replacement shakes. It's a programs called 'LynFit' that he heard about from Doctor Oz (who I tend to take with a big grain of salt), but the protein boost in the morning (30 grams of proteins within 30 minutes of waking up) have helped Dad lose over 15 lbs. He also uses our Total Body Gym everyday and sometimes throws in a kettleball workout. But he's a fireman, so it's his job to stay in shape.
The shake itself wasn't too bad. It wasn't exactly something that I would be craving (ever) but I managed to get it down. I just need something to keep me full until I'm able to scrounge up some lunch.
I took an organic chemistry test this morning and then went to the cafe at the school to sit and read until my next class at 2PM. They actually have pretty good salads here, so I picked up a grilled chicken caesar and a diet soda. Then I did what I NEVER do: I took of the croutons and dipped my fork in dressing instead of pouring it over my salad. According to the SP tracker, this saved me about 200 calories (!!!). And there's a ton of lettuce under the chicken, so it's taking me some time to finish it, which hopefully means it'll keep me full for a while! The cafe also sells the Special K protein bars, which I love, so if I really feel like I need a pickmeup, then I'll go that route.
This is how it works, right? Little choices adding up to big changes. When I get home, I plan on doing 20 minutes on the recumbent bike before starting my homework. I'm feeling great today!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday =)
