dried cranberries

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

today I decided to substitute dried cranberries for my snack instead of the usual junk food I use to crave at night...I found that I like them very much and not only dont they have any sugar but I dont feel as guilty about eating them.

I often use dried cranberries in recipes as well as eating out of hand. Of course we all think of turkey with cranberries but pork & chicken work well too. I like to make a 'stuffed' pork chop using dried cranberries, diced carrot/onion/celery & a bit of cooked sweet potato or squash instead of bread to help keep the moisture level - YUM. emoticon

I love the dried cranberries too!!! I use them in my cereal a lot. I've even put them on toast or a sandwhick with a little peanut butter and banana,. Yummmmmmm.
There really good in cookies. Of course a low fat lower calorie version !
    KEEP SPARKLING !!!
