Been two weeks since I got recommitted to fitness.
But here's what transpired before that. In January, after gaining some holiday weight, I decided to start exercising. I was following the Brazil Butt Lift and doing it religiously everyday. But I was also weighing myself obsessively, and after 3 weeks of little to no difference on the scale I was disheartened and threw in the towel. What was the point of all that hard work if I wasn't gonna lose any weight, right? I was back to being lazy and the weight kept creeping up even more. I got to a point where my pants were getting tight, and my tops showed rolls of back fat and I was angry, depressed and lost.
Then, I saw this kickboxing DVD by Jillian Michaels on amazon. I love kickboxing, and these workouts were only 20 mins. I got the DVD and started doing 20 mins everyday. After a few days I added some yoga and walking. I feel like I have found my groove now. Oh also, I forgot to mention, I hid the scale :) Best thing I ever did (other than sign up on Sparkpeople ofcourse). So now I squeeze in a workout in the morning before work, even if it is just 10-20 mins. And then if I have time in the evening, I would go for a walk since it is so nice outside.
I feel happy and energized. I'm eating better, drinking lots of water. I'm excited to track my workouts and water on sparkpeople and am not worried about the scale :)
