Craving Beef

I havent had beef in months!! I dont particularly like it but the past few days Ive been craving burgers. Last night at work I ended up sick with a fever,chills,cough..just yucky. I came home and my youngest daughter is sick..we prob both got it from my son and oldest daughter. I barely ate anything all day and while driving I started to go into the MCdonalds drive thru for a BIG MAC meal..and then I told myself..NO I am not going to do this to myself. I got got out of there and raced home.

    i compared the nutrition facts on the 96/4 beef with bison, which is supposed to be so good for us, and the beef won out. i was really surprised. a lean beef burger on a whole grain bun...lots of veggies. can't go wrong.

    Many people will tell you different things on here, but in my opinion, completely cutting out certain foods is setting yourself up for difficulties. Learning portion control and finding ways to incorporate your favorite foods in a reasonable, healthy way goes much farther towards sustainable goals. My suggestion? Make some beef! Or if you really truly enjoy macdonalds, pre-track some food from mcdonalds such that it fits in with your daily nutrition, and go ahead and eat it. Anyways, take it with the same grain of salt as you do everything, and good luck on your journey!

    Good for you! I don't think beef is as evil as people like to think but when I do eat it I make sure it is grass fed. When I first gave up fast food is was weird for me but then I realized it was more of a habit than I actually liked the food. Then when I researched what was in it that was the last straw. I am proud of you for making the best choice for your health!
