Virtual Weight Loss Simulator

Monday, March 19, 2012

Unless we have pictures from when we were once at our goal weight, many of us have a hard time imagining what we will look like when we reach out goal weight. Or at weights along the way if we have a lot to lose. I know I have looked at this particular body in the mirror for so many years I have a hard time imagining it looking any different than it is today.

I Googled and found this virtual weight loss simulator that lets you put in your current and goal weights. You can also customize it to show your hair color, hair style, height, and body type. Sorry, but this one only has female models (sorry guys!).

After doing the few simple customizations, it displays what you look like at your current and goal weights. The two bodies are shown side-by-side, so it's easy to see the changes. You can also rotate them to get side and back views, so you can see your "new me" at various angles. I have to admit that I didn't think I look quite as chunky as this model looks, but who am I trying to kid? I do like what my goal weight model looks like, so I have to keep her image in my head.

Since I want to lose sixty pounds, and will likely get discouraged after twenty pounds and not think I'm making any headway, I think I'll do this simulator again at that point just to show the difference between my starting weight and what I look like after just twenty pounds.

In the meantime, here are the views of what I look like today, and what I'm striving to look like when I reach my goal:

i did my highest weight it really doesn't look much different from what I want my goal weight to be. If I looked like the model @ 197 I would think I didn't need to lose any weight. It really doesn't show any difference between 197 and 135.

I made a simulator, but how do you put it on your spark page?

Love the idea of the virtual model. I've tried one of my own based on lots of measurements.

This one stops changing after somewhere around 250 lbs... so at 349 the image looks the same as if I were 100 lbs lighter.

Doesn't mean I couldn't make a model of me at goal!
