Where to begin, a year ago this month I was diagnosed with a severe hypothyroidism, I had no thyroid hormone in my system at all and my patuitary gland had been doing all the work, I'd had issues with different things like exhaustion, headaches for years and had gained a ton of weight with no lifestyle change and was never correctly diagnosed until a year ago. Move forward to this year, 4 weeks ago I finally had a low normal level which is why I jumpstarted back on this program. Move ahead again a month and a half ago I got really sick it really never went away, the 3rd of this month I was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection and double ear infection, and my cough had been around for over a month now... Move forward again to Friday, I went in for a follow up I was not any better, did not feel good etc, saw a pa, next thing I know she brings my Dr in and I got some pretty unsettling news. My thyroid is full of fluid, bad part is that's why i can hardly talk, my voice is all gruff and sounds like I'm yelling because I can hardly get words out, this is why I'm exhausted becase yet again it's not working like it should worst of all its pressing on some main nerve that controls a lot of functions in your body and it can't do that. So I had to have rush labs and rush x rays on Friday, today they will call I have to have an ultrasound on my thyroid they are hoping tomorrow and then follow up apt this week to put all this together and get a game plan. I think what scared me the most is i was not expecting it at all so needless to say I still have fluid in my ears, my head is still stuffed i am on an inhaler to try and help the cough but other then that i'm in a holding pattern until i get more info today.
