On this day 23 years ago, I was giving birth to my fourth child. He was born with red curly hair and he was searching for something to eat the minute he was born, so I named him Robin because he reminded me of a baby bird. He is now over six foot tall and is a big, handsome man. Just yesterday my oldest child, a son as well, had his first baby come into this world. December was two months early, but was truly a miracle in that she had absolutely no health issues. She weighed in at four pounds and three ounces and is 16 inches long. She will be sharing birthday parties with her Uncle Robin in the future and that is just fine with him. It just makes me look back and see how intertwined my kids are in their daily lives and how they are still together even though they are all living apart from each other. Family is important even when you are far apart on this globe. I have brought each of my children into my weight loss journey and they are my biggest fans and cheerleaders! I thank God daily for blessing me with four wonderful kids and four beautiful granddaughters. And, my children who are now parents really let me know how much they appreciate me and what I did for them as they were growing up. That is just the best part! Cherish your families.

Your family sounds like a true blessing. My five kids are very supportive of my journey. They too are still very close to each other even though living apart. My oldest grandson and my sister's oldest grandson are so close both in age and friendship that they refer to each other as "best friend brother". They are 9 months apart. My great nephew is 5 and my grandson will be 5 in July.
We have tried to explain that they aren't really brothers but cousins. Now they call themselves "best friend brother cousins". lol
