A friend named FELINA sent me this and it helped me feel better. She said I could use her name and put the poem on my blog. She never found who the author was so the author is Unknown.

I know that it must be different, now that I am no longer here.
I realize how much I was loved and how all of you did care.

I know it will be hard at first when you look around for me.
Expecting to find me in my bed or beside my favorite tree.

Someday you will begin to see, although it'll take some time,
the happy times you shared with me, the memories are yours and mine.

I'll remember you, my family, and how much you meant to me.
So please don't grieve and don't be sad, it was just my time to leave.
See how that comforts me? Thank you FELINA. Since Thor was an indoor kitty his favorite tree was the Christmas tree.. He loved to lay under it.

Today was our church's 100th anniversary and we had a great service and celebration. There was a good ham dinner with all the trimmings afterward too. I sang in our choir in the Alto section. Our denomination is Disciples of Christ so our church is The First Christian Church of Zephyrhills ,(Disciples of Christ).

Again, thank you to all who have sent messages, Spark Mail, and sympathy goodies. I love you all. I see Thor everywhere I look so I know he's still with us in our hearts and always will be.

I know not everyone believes as I do, but it's my opinion that our animal companions will be there when we move on to our next "great adventure". I know I've a whole chowder waiting for me :)

I can see how this poem would comfort you. I remember Thor and "his" Christmas tree. It's not every cat that gets his own! And his own SP emoticon, too! :)

You're very welcome. I am so glad the poem helps, it is beautiful. It was given to me in a photo picture frame when we lost a dear kitty several years ago. I love it.
