So I've been eating healthy foods for about 3 weeks, focusing on several servings of fruits and vegetables each day, lowering my carbs, eating more healthy fats and fewer unhealthy fats, and eating more plant-based proteins. After about a week of doing so, I started no longer feeling like staying in bed all day, or sitting on the sofa all day eating processed foods.
After a week of regular exercise, combined with healthy eating, I now feel better than I have in years. I've halved my caffeine intake with no side effects yet, and I feel like I have more energy than I've had in a very long time.
If you are only watching what you eat and have not yet started exercising, and you have no medical restrictions preventing you from exercising (most people CAN exercise!!), I strongly encourage you to get at least some exercise today. Every little bit helps, regardless of what it is. You will most likely feel a lot better after moving around. The key is doing it in moderation, and finding something you enjoy (or at least don't mind doing).
As Judi, the SP Live team lead in the Saturday meetings, said yesterday (paraphrased), "Nobody ever did a workout and then said afterword, 'I wish I hadn't done that workout.'"
Making excuses for yourself, as I did for years, accomplishes nothing. Just go for it! Your body will thank you.
