One Week In

One week in and I have lost 2.6 pounds :) I am so happy with this weight loss but I know this week wasn't perfect. I didn't always stay within my calorie intake range and my workouts were not always what I wanted them to be, But I can admit that and take some precautions against failure for next week. I am going to enter in most of my meals (breakfasts and suppers) for the week and plan my lunches accordingly. as well I am going to continue to focus on drinking all my water for the day, I did well doing it this week but there a few slip ups when I didn't quite get enough and one day when i didn't get any at all. A new goal I am introducing this week is to eat two fruits and or veggies a day. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but I am hoping that small changes over times may stick better than trying to eat 5-10 a day from virtually nothing. Although I am a bit disappointed in my performance this week I do know that it is only my first week and all I can do is learn from the mistakes that I made and keep moving forward

    Oh my! You had an extremely successful first week! Congratulations! :) 2 lbs and working to stay on track.... What more could one ask for? Certainly not perfection, I hope. LOL

Babysteps are one of the critical keys to this lifestyle journey! You are doing amazing!

    emoticon on your weight loss - you are right to be happy!!

BUT please, take a minute to reflect a little more - how can you be disappointed in your performance when it's given you the results it has?! Take a step back and look at all the great choices that you made last week, all the things that you did differently, OK so you weren't perfect but hey, who is?! We must, MUST (!) acknowledge the good choices that we make most of the time and forgive ourselves those times when we don't do as well as we'd like - we have to be realistic! We have to accept that looking for perfection is like chasing the rainbow's end - it's what we do MOST of the time that matters and makes the difference - as you've proven this week!!

It's great that you're reflective and willing to learn from experience but you didn't make 'mistakes' or 'failure' last week - YOU DID GREAT!!! Keep up the good work!

    Small changes is the way to go! These are the kinds of things that will help you keep the weight off, once you lose it. And congrads on the 2.6 lbs, that's just short of 3 lbs!!! What I do is, keep one of those reusable grocery bags by my door and for every lb I lose, I add one lb of food to the bag. Then every time I pass it I do some curls with it. 3 lbs is 3 lbs. It has weight and heft to it. It's not like picking up a kid or a bag of potatoes but you can feel the weight. And that is 3 lbs you aren't carrying around anymore!
