Getting Back on Track

Saturday, March 17, 2012

Hi friends, have been in a little slump lately. I can't seem to get back on track.

I would really appreciate any tips or tough love anyone has to offer... emoticon.

I am having trouble sleeping at night, so I sleep later in the day and I miss breakfast, which is a no no.. emoticon

Help me get my spark back please..feeling a little sorry for myself. I have been seeing a lot of people passing away as of late..

Thank you dear sparkfriends. I usually like to keep it a little cheerful, thanks for listening... emoticonHappy St Patricks Day...

Do one thing for yourself today that truly makes you feel good about yourself. One simple thing that is good for you AND makes you feel good. I have no doubt that you can get back on track with just some little baby steps... some self-love. I get off track everyday, but then I just get right back on! You can do it!

I just had a 'get back on track' time myself nearly three weeks ago. We all get stalled sometimes, but I think the best thing you can do is what you're doing...reach out for help and try to get back to it. I think you have to get your sleep down better. It only takes a several days of forcing yourself to get up early, even if you're not sleeping well at night, and then you'll be in more of a routine and more tired at night. My son, when he was a little guy, once heard a man on the radio say that if you can do something for 21 days then you can make it a habit. It sounds like you may be dealing with some grief too, even if it doesn't seem obvious to us grief does affect our moods, our sleep, and our energy. I think walking and exercise may help, but I think counting your blessings and being grateful is the best way to counter grief, and the down feelings. Also, journaling and writing down any things that may be on your mind prior to bed time...even chores or lists. Sometimes I go for months without sleeping at night, usually because I am wrestling with things in my life, and so I pray. When I can't sleep, I get up and pray for all the people that God brings to my mind, and then I read some Psalms and pray for sleep to come...it usually does, but I am still tired in the morning. I hope you figure it out, and that others may have some wise words for you.
