Well, I just learned that I am not as good at handling a stressful week as I thought I was. This week at work, I was given the task of training two new employees. Not a particularly daunting task, but one that interrupted my normal routine just the same. I did well with my usual eating routine with the exception of breakfast. As the week went on. I was putting off eating my breakfast longer and longer. I usually eat at 9 a.m.
This week, it got later and later, until on Friday I skipped it altogether. It all went down-hill from there. For lunch, I decided to get a turkey wrap from D'Angelo's. Since I hadn't had breakfast, I thought I could have cheese on it. Well, I was in such a rush, I didn't check the nutritional value until AFTER I ate it.
560 calories and 20 fat grams!!!!
Of course, since I hadn't had breakfast, I also added a side salad with light honey mustard dressing,
Later, for a snack, I had a cream of chicken Cup-a-Soup.
Well, I figured I had blown it, so for supper, we sent to our favorite Chinese restaurant. Who knew that veggies with chicken and scallops could pack so many calories and fat grams! Ugh!
On top of that, My In-laws took us out for lunch today (Saturday) to a Chinese buffet!
So, here it is, 4 p.m. and I've already gone over my calorie count for the day (again). Well, clearly, I won't make it through the night without something, so here's the plan:
A two to three mile walk with Leslie Sansone. I really like her videos, and I don't have to go farther than my living room!
Salad for supper. No dressing, but maybe a little plain tuna.
LOTS of water!
. . . . I'll let you know how I make out.
