A new princess to spoil....

Friday, March 16, 2012

So this week DH & I are on vacation. Typically if we take a vacation, it's generally not until mid April at the earliest ( our anniversary is April 17 so we try to plan a vacation around that time. But with a new princess in our family, we knew we just had to have our vacation early. I mean how could Nana miss out on all those cuddling & loving moments with Audrey, now 4 weeks old.

Now isn't that just the sweetest face you ever saw?!!! Call me partial if you want but I love that little girl! emoticon So we spent Monday - Wednesday with our son & his family getting to know Audrey. The sad thing is she is so far away from us we realize we won't get to spend as much time with her as we will with our other 4 grands. While we were in WV visiting, our son & his fiancee (Audrey's parents) decided to get married. So DH performed the ceremony by the pond in front of the rental cabin. They even had a choir to serenade them --a pond full of bullfrogs. emoticon

I don't think you are too partial as that is a very sweet little girl. So sorry you won't be able to give her all the hugs and cuddles you want, but I do hope that you have Skype or some other way of seeing her grow and letting her know who you are. I have a friend that does that every Sunday with her grandson. it is not the same, but it is better than not being able to do it. Congrats on a new grandbaby and a new daughter in law!
