Four days in a row of boot camp is rough.
I quite obviously had NOT been doing enough strength training because I can barely move at times right now. I couldn't stand up straight because my upper abs were so sore. I can hardly sit and heaven forbid I have to stand because my thighs and butt hurt so bad. This morning, no joke, I caught myself holding the railing in the stairwell with one hand, pulling myself up the stairs because just climbing them hurt. The weight of my work bag (lunches, shoes, etc), my workout bag and my purse were enough to kill me.
All that being said, I LOVE boot camp. I'm going to be really bummed when my 21 days are up because I'm pretty sure I can't afford to keep going after that. I know it would be tough to keep up that kind of a workout on my own.
Also, one more note on boot camp. Yesterday he had us do this move, it was a squat with a dumbbell fly. The reason I'm mentioning this is that he had us do it "walking" towards a mirrored wall. (Squat, fly, step, squat, fly, step, etc.) As I was walking towards the mirrored wall, I must say that I was seriously impressed with my arms!! I normally think they are flubby. . . like any woman does I suppose. That upper arm fat by your armpit. . . you know. Anyhow, during the flys I had some serious guns!!! And today he had us doing more squats and he commented on my good form. "Way to keep your weight in your heals!" So, I've been doing something right for my arms (yoga) and I although I don't do enough ST, apparently I at least have good form!
