My workout clothes are ready. My water bottle is on the kitchen counter ready to be filled. Gym shoes and hiking boots laced up. The bicycle has been cevked over and is ready to hit the trail Kitchen and fridge have been cleaned out and filled with healthy food.
Right now I weigh 156 and my goal is to lose 8 pounds by May 12th. I plan on doing this by staying in my calorie range of 1200 to 1550. I plan on exercising at least 1 hour for five days a week burning at least 1500 calories a week. I have been making some small changes to cut calories. One of my favorites is mixing Mrs. Dashs garlic and herb sasoning mixed in non fat Greek yogurt. I use this on sandwhiches instead of mayo and it also makes a great veggie dip. As for my exercise, since the weather is warmer I will be doing alot more walking and I will be doing alot of bike riding. When I have to stay home I have exercise dvds, stationary a gazelle and of course my wii.
I want to lose this weight for my health plain and simple. This extra weight definately isn't helping my COPD. The less weight on me the easier it is for me to breathe.
I honestly think that what I have to do this time that I haven't done in previous diets and exercise programs is to find what started my emotional eating. I think if I can find why and where it started I can handle it better, I think this is what has kept me from success as far as my weigh is concerned. This also has made me rethink my trigger foods. I now think I have emotional triggers and I use food to shut them off.
I intend to huddle with my team and post on the team boards at least once a day. I will read blogs and comment on them as time permits. I will cheer and support my teammates the best I can.
