Fell yesterday....literal
ly

Thursday, March 15, 2012

Today, I am recovering from a fall that I had yesterday and which caused me to cut back on my walks and I wasn't even in the middle of a walk. I had just got of the bus at work and was doing the (very) short walk to the office. Was right outside the building and my right foot seemed to stick to the ground but I still kept going and and the next thing I knew, the ground had greeted me.

I stayed there for a few moments before getting up as I wanted to ensure that I didn't aggrevate any injuries I had done. I ended up with scratched palms and a BIG scrape along my left elbow (about 4 inches long) which oozed blood plus some muscle soreness around the neck and shoulders.

I had a training course during the whole morning did not even try to go for a walk. I arranged with my team leader to finish work after the training and after completing an OH&S report as required, I went home about 1 pm - still no real walking for the day.

I caught a different bus home and went further to catch it and got off further from home so I could at least get some exercise but my day's steps were a lot shorter than I had been getting on work days.

At least there is no leg soreness or bruises so I was able to go for a walk this morning after a very early night and early rising. Today is my fortnightly day off and payday was yesterday so also shopping today!!!
