Yesterday was Day 2 of Level 2 on the 30 Day Shred! (Day 9 in total.)
Today I am pleasently sore but it's not as bad as when I first started Level 1! It's funny because Level 1 made the front of my thighs sore and now Level 2 is really killing the backs of my thighs! I'm also starting to notice some hard muscle peaking out around my shoulders! It's exciting to feel a change after all that sweating! I always thought ripped muscles were for people with more self-discipline than myself, but this makes me think I can actually do it! After just 20 mins a day, for one week, I'm seeing a difference!
I'm feeling a bit under the weather today. I think it's allergies, but my throat is sore and combined with my sore muscles it feels like a cold even though it's probably not. I'm debating on if I should push through it and do Day 3 or just go home and rest up. I don't like wasting even one day away, but this is a lifestyle, not a race!
It's much harder than I thought to stay in my calorie range too! Now that I'm really logging in every single thing I eat, I'm realizing how much it adds up! I had the same wakeup call with my finances last year... you don't think that a latte here and there costs much, maybe $5 each, but when you look at one a day for a week, you're looking at $25! And it's the same principle with food. You don't think a bite here and there matters but it can really add up over time! Sigh. I'm trying not to take all of this too strictly and think of it as a lifestyle, not a diet, but old habits die hard...
Despite my calorie struggle, I feel like I'm loosing weight and I'm trying to resist the temptation to weigh myself too early. Remember- it's inches that matter anyways!
