I don't have a huge sweet tooth, but there are some things I just can't control myself around. Girl Scout cookie season has reminded me of that, big time! Since I'm due to start a new challenge (or two), I thought I'd try this new one that showed up on the main challenge page.
I took my assessment quiz: I have situational sugar problems. I agree with this. As long as I go shopping when I'm not hungry, I have no problem not buying sugary things. I don't really like cakes, doughnuts, ice cream, or most of the normal craving items. I go for things like mint chocolate cookies, Crunch bars, gummy snacks (OMG gummy snacks!!!), and Poptarts.
During the holidays or other social gatherings, I tend to have sweets if everyone else is having them. Pumpkin pie and cheese cake are my weaknesses. But the gummy snacks.... *dies*
The main reason I want to cut back is that I want to be able to enjoy the candy and stuff I love in moderate portions. I can't cut it out completely and I binge way too badly when I am around it.
I need to learn to stop when it's time to stop.
For this challenge I'm supposed to record my sugar intake every day without trying to change it. I'm going to do this on my food tracker and use the notes section to talk about any feelings or situations that lead to my sugar eating.
On a different note, I already decided to do the 28-day bootcamp challenge starting Monday. I really liked the Jump Start challenge, so I look forward to starting this and going with it.
