A veritable, verdant carpet

I have been watching green-up as I drive home. My beloved redbuds are finally starting to blossom and show their dainty pinkish leaves. The pastures that line my last 5-7 minutes of the drive home are a veritable, lush verdant carpet. It's coming up green everywhere and it's beautiful. Listening to the birds chirp while going up and down my little porch stairs is making the activity so much better. It makes it seem like it's less an exercise.
With the green up come the calves trying to get to the greener grass on the other side. The first little cow has already escaped from I forget whose pasture. Run AWAY, little cow, run AWAY! Pretty soon someone will be consuming you. RUN AWAY!!!!!
And how 'bout that BG this morning? 126!!! Go, me!!!!!! It's dropped. I don't know if it was all the beans I ate yesterday, combined with the scoop of fiber powder, or what it was. I can promise you it sho' 'nuff wasn't the pretzels. Yes, I admit it. I broke down and ate many pretzels...the thin kind. Some with peanut butter, even. Guilty, guilty pleasure. I enjoyed it immensely. Does that make me a bad SP example? I prolly won't have the pretzels again for a long time to come, prolly not til summer..........all that just because I wanted to tell my RE students about pretzels and Lent!!!!
