So the structured activities that I do every week are off this week. Spring break! But it doesn't feel very different. Since they take up only around 6 hours of my time it doesn't really effect me much... or do they?
After all I couldn't have slept in late yesterday, I would have begun teaching ESL classes by the time I got up. Maybe I would be more adjusted to DST but oh well. Oh and DST doesn't SAVE any daylight, it just shifts around when it is. Sorry I just don't get the point of it.
At any rate, I pushed myself a BIT too hard on Monday. I think I just had a bit more adrenaline pumping because there were actually a large number of people at the fitness center. I usually work out during the afternoon when there's no one else around or those that come in are usually other women that usually stick to the cardio machines.
Well, I waited until my husband got home from work (~6pm) and we worked out together - doing our own thing, but at the same time. But there were between a few guys that were lifting serious weights the whole time I was strength training. For some reason (probably the company in the weights area!) I decided to change things up a bit - lifting more, doing more leg work, and adding a medicine ball to my crunches. So yesterday my quads and abs were sore and I skipped working out, even though I wish I hadn't.
But today is a new day... gotta treat it as such.
And go run!
