Rough day

I didn't sleep hardly lastnight. I hurt my knee that is healing also. I go for a follow up visit today to see how far along it has come in healing. I so miss bowling and cannot wait to go back to it. I bought myself a sleep mask to give it a try. I was also told that having a cell phone or anything electric within 10 feet of you can disrupt your sleep. This is something new I have learned today because I always kept my cell phone on top of the head of my bed. This was advice from the friendly local health food store. I grew up on alternative medicine and herbs so I'm so glad there is one nearby. I am on a mission to start having some deep sleep again like I use to emoticon

    I'd never heard that about your cell phone. I sleep with mine right next to the bed. Unfortunately, I use mine as an alarm clock so I can't move it too far. I do alright sleeping most nights. My biggest problem used to be falling asleep, I just couldn't shut my mind off so I started getting e-books on my iPad. I read until my eyes are drooping and then just set it down and boom I'm asleep. I haven't had too many problems in the past 5 years since I started doing this.
I hope you can get your problem ironed out and your knee is healing.

    I can sleep through anything - once I fall asleep! Lights, noise, nothing bothers me and if I do wake up I go right back to sleep.
GOING to sleep is my problem. My mind races with what happened during the day and plans for the next day. I've found that putting some relaxing music on very low helps me to relax and nod off. So does the whirr of a fan in the corner of my room.

    Also turn off any neon alarm clocks in the room as that is disturbing light. For me I have to know what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night. I also try soothing music with ear buds. That is how I broke my disruptive sleep disorder pattern. Hope your knee gets to feeling better!
