I'm so proud of myself.
Not for the pounds lost. More for the change in attitude that has taken sooooo long to click.
I've tried it all. Really.
I had tremendous success on the 17 Day Diet but it couldn't sustain it long term. Too many restrictions.
So instead, I did the "make your own diet" thing. It sort of reminds me of those "choose your ending books" from the 80s.
Two vegetarian meals a day, a healthy dinner with an occasional splurge night and a solid attempt to trade sweets for healthier alternatives.
The results? Some poundage gone, less bloating (even with all the beans!!), glowy skin, and an ever growing list of fruits and veggies I've tried for the first time.
I've even traded ice cream for a mashed frozen banana topped with a little cinnamon.
All that is well and good but do you know when I realized that this is REALLY working?? This morning when I successfully walked past the weekly office donut offering without so much as a sigh. Really.
Now that's progress.
