7am: Today is a new day. After a bit of a late start, I took Hudson for a walk and got some much-needed fresh air... and doggie perspective. That is, when you're off your butt life is so much more interesting and fun. :) Feeling so much better, I took deep breaths, stretched on the porch, and had my Kashi & banana breakfast.
11:30am: Knocked out a few big things when I first got to work.
Success factor: Doing things that are interesting to me keeps me from noticing hunger or wanting food for entertainment.
12:30pm: When I did notice, I was on a conference call, and had a cereal bar (on mute!) until I could prepare lunch in the office kitchen. Edamame (with rice vinegar, a tiny bit of sesame oil, and soy sauce), and Wegmans Sunrise blend (red rice, quinoa, etc.), with a little Smart Balance and a chopped apple.

Wow, having Kashi for breakfast, cereal bar snack, followed by the rice/quinoa/flaxseed mixture is quite a CHO hit. Healthy ones, which is good. And no small amount of protein. I feel good - not heavy or tired - but wonder how I'll feel this afternoon?
1:50pm: I will be on a conf call from 2pm to 6pm, with too short of a tether to do any snacking. :) Filling up the water bottle and tea mug now.
4pm: Still on the phone, but hungry and tired.
5:15pm: Finally off the phone, and off to pick up puppy from daycare. But how will I muster the energy to run tonight?
9:19pm: Burger and potato for dinner seemed like enough. But then when I looked at the CHO I learned why. Calories are ok, but my balance of nutrients leans too much.
Shifting from "observe your sugar cravings" into "I've gotta act!"
