I've been wanted to start this for a while now, I've even attempted it before. But this time I'm really doing it!
There are several reasons to start a fast. Cultures have fasted for thousands of years and many cultures still practice it. It all makes complete sense to me!

Over time toxins build up in our body, from the environment and from the things we eat and drink. Our bodies will seek opportunities to rid itself of these toxins.
Once the toxins enter our blood stream from a fast, you will experience a low or down cycle. During a cycle you can suffer headaches, diarrhea or depression. This is usually gone after the first three days.
Fasting is recommended for ANY illness, because it gives the body the rest it needs to recover. By giving the body a break from digesting foods, it's focus turns on rebuilding and healing itself. Fasting is recommended for anyone to do on a regular basis. At least a couple times a year.
By releasing the toxins in your body you are also removing fat. Our bodies use fat to contain toxins so they don't affect other areas of our bodies. Our bodies are trying to protect us and all it knows to do is surround the toxins with fat.

A 3 day fast will cleanse and detoxify the body
A 5 day fast will start healing your body
and A 10 day fast will work on protecting your body from future illnesses!

Fasting on water alone is never recommended as it causes your body to release toxins too quickly and that can be a miserable and painful experience. By fasting on live juices we are able to provide our bodies with proper nutrition and arm our bodies with the fighting and healing power it needs :)

For anyone interested in fasting, I suggest you do more research on it, find the fast that is right for you. It's very challenging, for me anyway. I'm dealing with food all day as I have 3 children and a husband to cook for. So it's definitely difficult. But each day that passes it does get easier.

I'm currently on day two so I'm excited to get through the next couple of days and share with you all my experience and the benefits that I notice!

    I can't do fasts as you should be resting for the whole time. A juice fast would be okay but I am hypoglycemic and couldn't handle it.

    As you said, the juice fast is wonderful and the benefits are numerous. It might be difficult at first with all that food around, but once you start feeling all the positive results, it will get easier. Good luck and keep us posted.
