I decided to start my walking and earnest step counting before other things for the day. So far, I have over 1/2 my minimum steps for the day from doing that. Plus, I was able to enjoy the breeze and the sunshine. It was a waker-upper, a picker-upper and I hope it's a blood-sugar-lowerer.
Good news: yesterday I walked over 5000 steps. First time since I came back on SP that I met my minimum goal of 5000 steps. From here I want to try to increase each day's steps by a minimum of 10% so as to be able to reach 10K steps.
I don't think the walking is going to budge the scale for now. As it is, I still think the scale issue is a hormonal issue. I think that I'll be down again by the end of next week. The thing is to KIMS.........."Keep it moving, sister" and just keep on doing what I need to do.
The number on the scale isn't irrelevant, but I think it will become irrelevant if I don't keep it all in perspective. It's not my life, it's a number that is PART of a process. It is not yet the summary of the process. Besides, by the time I finally reach my goal weight, that number will be part of a new, more enduring process.........maintenance.
