Ok Spark Friends, I have a confession to make. I cheated on my original dress, and don't regret it one bit! I have since bought my dream dress and cannot wait to walk down the isle in it! Here's the story:
I went dress shopping with my family and friends. We found a dress THEY all liked and I bought it, with their encouragement and reassurance that it looked great on me. (Which it infact did, from the front and back). However it did not meet many of the requirements I had in mind when I pictured the dress I would walk down the isle in. For example; It was not sweetheart neckline, it was not lace up back, it did not have lace scallops over the edge of the neckline, and it was a trumpet shape. Despite all these disappointments, it is a gorgeous gown with many delicate details and asymetrical draping giving me curves like Jessica Rabbit!
However, I felt self conscious in it, because of the shape of the dress. From the side I looked about 5 months prego, with the spanks on underneath! See below:
Each time I tried the dress on, I felt more regret for impluse buying it. So, I went with my gut instinct and went dress shopping once again, by MYSELF!
It was then that I was able to figure out what I truly wanted and found Alfred Angelo's 2123. I did not want to take the dress off, I was grinning from ear to ear, I did not feel the least self conscious. I felt like a beautiful princess ready to walk down the isle to meet her prince charming (in cowboy boots in my case).
Now with out further ado, I give you my dream dress:
