Is it insane to go to the gym twice a day???

Sunday, March 11, 2012

So heres a quick question sparkies, would I be over doing it or becoming obsessed if I went to the gym 2 times in one day? I was thinking of going after I take my son to school in the morning for a little while (an hour or so)and then back in the evening for zumba classes, what do you think? Am I becoming obsessed? I just really really want to lose some lbs before my birthday (a month away) emoticon

I've done it a few times. If you have the time, why not. I wouldn't suggest doing it every single day, but going hard a day or 2 is only going to beneficial, right?

If you can go to the gym twice a day and still get out of bed and walk the next day, then I say go for it. I'll bet those celebrities do more than that to get in shape quick.

NO you are totally fine. It's not like you are going to run 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. That would be a bit excessive LOL But going back for a fun class, I think that's totally okay. It's a fun social thing too, and if you enjoy it, listen to your body, and it's helping you reach your goals, awesome! This also means you might need to have an extra piece of fruit or two so there's not a HUGE difference with calories eaten goals and calories burned goals.

So anyway...I say ENJOY!! Rock on! :)

Gyms need to be used efficiently. Top athletes usually train three days a week and have a fourth "light day" (stretching a little, jogging, golf etc). However, they usually crawl out of each session.... :)

If you feel you can go twice then you're probably not pushing yourself enough the first time.

The intensity of training is often more important than the extent. It is better to do ten minutes on a treadmill at a 90% heart rate than spend an hour on it just walking although with the latter you appear to burn more calories..

I have done it a few times. I can go in the morning and then I go again with my girlfriend when she gets out of work. Just don't burn yourself out
