Moving and Grooving!

I started out my early morning with some Nordic walking, then 30 minutes on the bike, 30 on the elliptical of intervals, interspersed with my strength training PT exercises, crunches with a weight on my chest, a constant bridge while doing hamstring pulls on the ball. The usual side leg raises with 5 lb weights, ditto with clamshells. I was wanting a good workout. I wasn't feeling all that well, but I was determined to get to Zumba at 10 am this morning, so I took some painkillers. Its been a long time since I bothered. It gave me the boost I needed to move it. The morning was pleasant and sunny. The snow had been melting, and the field and hill I had to cross to get to my Curves had crusted snow I had to push through. It came up to just past my ankle. It was hard work, like doing a high step march with some force to step down through the crust of snow. I enjoyed my Zumba, but the rust was sure showing. I stayed for the second class, following along the dance moves trying to get them down, but not doing the machines.
Went home and did a thorough vacuum. I had lunch and then it was grocery shopping time. I had to do some veggie prep and then hit the shower. As soon as I see the laundry room free, it will be about three loads worth.
A productive, busy day, but no guarantees how I will wake up the next day. I am hoping maybe to hit the pool and hot tub tomorrow.
There is no question I feel better moving around and being active then just sitting around. No sign of those cramps while moving. No aches as long as I am a going concern!
I love doing things with my music thumping away in the background. I like upbeat, fast rock music with a beat. I don't feel tired or fatigued in spite of only three broken hours of sleep. I am having my raw green tea at noon in hopes that will keep me alert and not so tired in the afternoon. The latest information says NOT to take naps, but to try establish a regular sleep wake cycle. I am willing to try anything, but oh does that bed beckon me sometimes!!

    I think listening to your body and sleeping when you are able to is going to work best for you. Whatever studies you're reading are not taking into account all you have going on in your life.

    The only way I get through some kickboxing classes is getting lost in the music, especially if it is something I like. In a few weeks, I'll be switching over to outside exercise and hoping to see a lot of wildlife.

You are awesome the way you keep pushing yourself to get in your exercise. Your determination is really paying off.

    You're absolutely amazing . . . I'm going to head out for a hike with TUFFMUFFIN and Charlie shortly (not enough snow to ski . . . we're into a mild patch which may extend to spring, who knows?)

    Linda, you did so much! More than me, too, I'm afraid! The weather here was lousy, and even work was slow moving, so I didn't get as much exercise as I'd hoped there, either. I turned it into a rest day. I hope you aren't too sore today, and that you DO get the chance to get in the hot tub! emoticon emoticon

    Ok, I am officially exhausted reading your blog tonight.....maybe I should have saved it for when I was not working! Goodness, I think I am doing good on the treadmill at a 7% incline!!! for 30-40 minutes....but Linda, you have me beat to pieces. How do you do it???!!!
