Getting through a hard day

Friday, March 09, 2012

It's a hard day today. My mother-in-law's birthday is today and I'm missing her. I don't know that I've really spent any time grieving since she passed. To top that off I ate well this entire week - even stayed away from ice cream twice so I didn't go over my calories - and worked out every day, sometimes twice......yet the scale didn't budge and neither did my body fat. I'm trying hard to remember that it's important to keep working out, especially when I'm having a hard day. I know in the long run the numbers will move but I'm having a hard time getting past today. emoticon I can do it. I will do it.

Grieving can bring stress and stress sometimes makes weight seem immovable. Part of releasing your stress can be in journaling (like posting as you are doing now). I would encourage you to keep posting so that we can continue to encourage you.
