Staying motivated to pursue a vegan lifestyle

Friday, March 09, 2012

After months of week long visits with relatives a friends, I found myself being tempted more and more to stray from the vegan lifestyle I had decided to embrace. However, a recent e-mail from John McDougall with a link to a recent lecture presented at his advanced study week seminar in February of this year came in the nick of time for me. This hour long you tube entry by Melanie Joy strengthened my resolve to get squarely back on track. The entry, entitled Carnism - The Psychology of Eating Meat can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v
=7vWbV9FPo_Q or can be found by simply googling Carnism Psychology of eating meat you tube.
I sent a link to my relatives and friends who bug me about pursuing a vegan lifestyle.

You are right about the golden retriever meat part being gross. In fact, I really should have included a warning or word of caution that parts of the video are really not meant for the very sensitive or faint of heart.

I hope your family was open to the information presented here.
