That is correct!
1 year ago this very minute I was in surgery having my Gastric Lap band put in.
I've done quite well at losing 73 pounds since then. Or i should say since i started my pre-op diet. I'm expecting to take off another 20 pounds. I need to work out more.
This has been a learning experience. the band alone is no magic. I ahve to work at disciplinining myself. OK I spelled that wrong. I ahven't ahd my fill of coffee yet.
It's been about learning what foods I can and cannot have in my diet. what foods are good and bad for me. I cannot ahve any breads. I do ahve wraps, flat breads, pita's and tortilla's if theya re whole grains or wheat. No white stuff like white rice and pasta. I love Quinoa! I ahn't jsut dive into a salad. I ahve been to a Ziggy's restaurant gotten a salad and requested them to finely chop it up for me and blend with dressing.
I'm so very happy I had my Lap Band and never once have i reretted it. I made the right choice.
