The past two weeks have been super stressful. We almost lost 6k to an evil car dealership. Yesterday I started emailing every place that had anything to do with dealership licensing it the state of Virginia. I emailed the Governor, the state Attorney, I filed a complaint with the BBB, I emailed a couple news stations.
I figured out how the dealership did their company emails and did a mass email to every single person in the dealership. I basically said I hope my 6K is worth the terrible publicity that was coming to the dealership in the days ahead. I ended with "I'm disabled. I don't work. I have all day to sit in front of my computer writing emails, sending letters and making phone calls."
Within 8 minutes of sending that email the general manager, who had totally ignored my emails & phone calls emailed me his personal number asking me to call him. I forwarded the number to my husband. He can talk to people so good. I do the writing, he does the talking!
Apparently I really freaked the guy out because they don't list emails on the site it's all form boxes to contact departments and I had everyone email.
My husband got him to fork up the money we spent traveling to Virginia to buy the truck since the sales guy had lied about everything and we had major hassles.
So he's fed-exing the check today, sending me a conformation number. I knew that little piece of *&@ salesman had lied when he said he mailed the check last week! Once we get the check, and it CLEARS, we call the transport guy to come pick up the truck.
So we've already put a deposit down on ANOTHER Tahoe. I wanted a small car with great gas millage, I get another tank. I really do prefer trucks, I like the option to drive over stuff if I want to and with the flash flooding we get when it pours its nice to be in a truck but I hate the gas mileage.
This new one is sweet though. It already had running boards, the tint and AC are super and it already has cargo netting in the back to hold shopping stuff, I hate when stuff slides all over the place, especially groceries!
I guess it will be useful to have the truck with the bookstore too. Speaking of which, I made them give me a new counselor in a different office. It took my last one 5 months to write a 3 page contract, I've had it with her, she has no idea what she's doing and doesn't care to learn what she needs to do. I have an appointment on the 13th with my new one. I hope we can get opened in the next 6 months, life is kinda boring without work. I love having the freedom to do whatever but without me working there is less money so can't really do all that much!
So here is a picture of my new, used Tahoe that we will hopefully pick up this weekend!
