- Completed half marathon #4.
- Started lent challenge on Feb 22 and proud to report that I am still right on track! No rice, bread, alcohol or sweets! By sweets I mean candy, chocolate, cake, ice cream, cookies, donuts, all kinds of desserts and pastries, NADAÖ.. Off limits.
After the half marathon on Feb 5, I took more rest days than I should have.
So for March, my goal is to workout at least 21 days of 31 (thatís 10% more). Since Iím running at a track 2x a week, I should be able to increase miles, so I am aiming for at least 70 miles this month. That will also increase my calories burned and fitness minutes (going for 8,800 and 1,200 respectively). I also have another half marathon scheduled for March 25.
On March 5 I did a 5K as part of an all girlís triathlon. So excited! It was an amazing event. Super organized, great staff/volunteers, a gorgeous day, cool goodies, an excellent location. My team did great- considering 2 of us were total rookies and we had never seen or met each other until that very day. We placed 16 out of 30 relay teams and finished in 1:45. We're going to keep in touch for future events. I did my run in 25:06. Still canít break that 25!!! About 50 women participated individually. My total respect and admiration for all you TRI-ATHLETES!! I was in awe of the athleticism, endurance and strength of women of all shapes, sizes and ages DOING IT. It was amazing to watch, and inspiring to be surrounded by so many powerful women.
