Dear Spark Diary,
So I already missed a day of blogging and we are only into day 6. But let me explain.....
Yesterday I did not feel very well. I was exhausted as ever and had a throbbing headache. So I stayed home from work and didn't pull myself out of bed until noon. At that time I finally dragged myself to take a shower and get a little decent because I had a dentist appointment to get to. I drove to my appointment in a daze but made it there. (Probably should not have been driving.....) When I got home I rested the rest of the afternoon into the evening not doing a single thing except for reading and helping my daughter with her homework.
Why I was so tired.... I don't know. I sometimes get this way when I over do things and this weekend I really didn't get a lot of sleep. The headache was there pretty much all day despite taking pills. So I stayed off the computer and didn't blog or even log my food. (I fixed the logging my food part this morning.)
So here I am today still a little tired but ready to take on the day. I got up without hitting the snooze button showered and was ready for work. I ate a good breakfast and I am feeling pretty good. Today I have a run scheduled and I can't wait to get outside in the 50 degree weather. The sunshine will feel so good on my skin as I am soaking up the vitamin D. It actually felt like spring this morning as I was walking into work. The smell of meeting snow and the songs of the birds.
This week should go by fast with getting ready for our short weekend get-a-away. Tonight my son has his band concert. I can't wait to hear all the bands play together. For the fall band concert it was just the 6th grade playing. Tonight it will be all the students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade playing together. Should be a great concert.
Then on Wednesday we have our last wrestling practice before the big state tournament this coming weekend. (our get-a-away....) We will be staying at a hotel in Rochester and I am looking forward to it. It will be nice for the kids to go swimming, nice for me and hubby to relax a little, and we will be able to visit his parents. The kids haven't seen their grandpa since Christmas. He is doing better and starting to eat a little more. They only have roughly 45 days to be at the Mayo Hospital and then they will be able to come home. Finally.....
Here are some pictures from our Disney on Ice trip...
This is a picture of the girls waiting for the train that we were taking to get downtown. This is much easier than driving and finding parking. It was a cold day so we were trying to stay under the heat lights but it didn't seem to help much.
This picture is on the train of my daughter Kacie and her cousin Ryley. The girls were so excited and laughing a lot. I love watching them interact with eachother.
Here is a picture of the girls during the show. We had 13 people in our group. It was a lot of fun!
And Kacie and Ryley on the way home taking the train again. I thought for sure they would fall asleep but it was just the opposite. They were super WILD! Laughing and making jokes and funny faces. This only lasted on the train though. As I expected.... they both were snoring away on the car ride home.
And here are some pictures of the newly painted closets. This week we are going to finish up the third bedrooms closet. And then the rest of the painting will begin.
Here is Andrew's.... He picked a neutral color and is going to add red as his accent color.
Kacie's room is going to be turquoise and it looks so pretty....
That's about all for now..... Until tomorrow!
