We went out to the wetlands for a walk/run this evening and we started a little later than I wanted to start. However, I was feeling good after a couple runs and decided to amp up the minutes. I have gotten better about taking it easy on my knee, so I ran for a minute and a half for each of the first three runs. Then I moved it up to 2 minutes for the remaining three, with a minute and a half at the end. Total minutes running is up to 12 now! So in a 36 minute period I am running a third of the time. That feels pretty darn good!
I had one of the triplets with me today so I pushed a little harder than normal (just to keep up). Man, I remember when I used to have to slow down to accommodate them! It is so good to be running again!
The reward came about halfway through our workout. We noticed that the setting sun was leaving a pink glow to everything around us and on the horizon was an inspiring sunset. We were glad that we didn't make it out there when we planned or we would have missed it! What a nice reward for our hard work!
