This is the town photo courtesy of Prime News Wagga Wagga with the caption

Not much earth holding back a whole lotta water

And the Bridge I travel over to go to work

This may give you all a little insight into what is happening .... the river will peak sometime this afternoon....

Late afternoon 6 March
The river looks like it will peak at about 10.6 metres... below the 1974 floods ... should be okay, but need to wait til about 6pm tonight. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the best wishes.

And yes ... I will remember my last week at work! LOL Who knows whether I will be there tomorrow.... will read the university update later on tonight.... thank goodness I can log onto my work email from home and check for updates! LOL

  Hi, Sandy,
Thanks for these photos and progress report. I know you have said more than once that your house is safe, that you are not worried for yourself & your immediate family. But I am not sure I understand how things are for you. Do you keep going to work everyday or is everything on hold for now? Do you have to stay home or can you travel here & there in your area?...Stressful... "interesting times" as they say. Thanks for keeping us posted. May you and yours be well.
Hugs,
Johanne

In the 1974 floods my late husband was with the Army he was the Water Engineer working all night to save towns along the Murray.
So know you are going through now.
Hope you are above the water line.

The man will be up for his death date this month

    Heavens - its bad!!
We are hearing on the news about it -but seeing the pictures makes it more real - by now you will have an idea if the levees holding!!
At least you are high - but isn't this your last week of work before retiring - you will remember it for a few years!!
Thinking of you and all the outlying farms too!!

We are high up and wouldn't get evacuated. That bridge is the bridge I travel over to go to work.... it won't go under....

Waiting on the river to peak and see if the levee banks hold.

Thanks for your comments.... emoticon
