Unsweetened tart cherry juice--how much daily?

Unsweetened tart cherry juice emoticon--how much must one drink daily to get health benefits?

I was using a tart cherry emoticon concentrate but realized it has lots of sugar. That defeats the purpose, right? I had one or 2 tablespoons daily.

I just ordered unsweetened tart cherry juice. But how much do I need to have daily for health benefits? I have fibromyalgia. and I know I need to have anti-inflammatory foods. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Chris read this article and let me know what you think about it, also if on blood thinners a need to consult with your doctor is suggested, this is new to me.

as far as the sugar content 2 Tablespoons=21grams, but having diabetes, I would count that as my fruit serving and add nuts or/and seeds shortly after taking.

I know for gout when flared up it is recommended to take 2 oz mixed in 6 oz of water 4 times a day, then after flareup is relaxed take 1 oz 3 x a day for maintenance.

I am planning on making a trip to a health store soon, and will check out there information about cherry concentrate.

Linda

Be careful with juice. If it is not concentrated, you might try 2 or 3 ounces daily and test if you are diabetic. Sorry, I forgot. Cherries are a lot smaller than oranges, but 1 small to mediium orange is a serving, and about 3 to 4 oz. or 1/2 c. measuring cup is a serving. Juice is more potent because we do not get the fiber to slow down the sugar uptake. There are lots of anti-inflammatory foods. Get a list and try to incorporate several in small appropriate servings daily.

    Chris,
I don't drink any juice because of the effect on my blood sugar. The capsules might be a beter way to go.
