Not quite like the movie "Date Night" with all the twist & twirls but I must say, I almost felt like we were being naughty. Taking an entire evening going on real date with a movie, "Good Deeds" & dinner at the Capital Grille.
The movie was not what I expected but I must say I was laughing, tearing up, singing along & almost wanted to scream at the screen! I had a really nice couple that sat next to us that my hubby almost felt up. She got in between us & she sat down first & thought she was me. You know how dark the theater can be. I am just thankful she didn't smack him but he didn't touch anything but her arm. lol If you are in the mood for a sloppy love story then "Good Deeds" is your movie. We got to the restaurant a little late but they gave us a booth. He was impressed with the place but he thought the food was phenomenal! I was so glad & we both had such an outstanding time together. We have a few words but smoothed them over completely. But our weekend was a really great one & we can't stop talking about it. I mean, we don't get out to do a really extravagant date night. The movie $20 but the meal with tip for out wait staff came out to $183. But we have stayed in for so many weekends it adds up. I didn't have to cook today because we had so much food.
He had a rib eye steak lobster macaroni & cheese, asparagus with hollendaise sauce & oysters. I had roasted chicken (actual whole chicken cut in half) with a spinach with red onions & a bacon dressing. Which everything was really good except the salad. That bacon dressing wasn't good taste. The I had a few bites of the chicken & then a few slices of his steak, no mac&cheese for me or aparagus. YUK! I guess we are trying to figure out where to go next year for a romantic get away.
What did you do this weekend?
God bless & enjoy everyday!
