Well starting Monday, I will be on my fifth week of exercise, fitness and healthy eating.
My period started on Thursday and knocked me for a wallop cramp-wise so I haven't worked out since Wednesday.
Although I didn't work out as much as I wanted to this past week, I did make a few purchases. Hehe.
I bought a set of 8lb dumbbells, a jump rope (to fulfill my jumping challenges) and a resistance band. I also ordered my yoga mat and bag. I am so excited! Now I have beginning things to do strength training with after my walk/runs.
Monday will be the first day I start training myself to run. I'll be using the Walk/Run and C25K models of walking for several minutes and then running for a minute (increasing this minute for each successive week). This training will replace my morning workouts at the gym. And if I don't wake up early enough for the walk/run, off to the gym I go. Nice contingency plan.
