accountability 3/3 and goals update.

Saturday, March 03, 2012

Wow it has been a month since I last blogged. I do better when I keep everything fresh in my mind so I need to focus on getting better at blogging more often just to keep me accountable.

I am in need of starting over on my streak goals. Between work and me being sick for over two weeks I let many of them slide. So my new goals for setting streaks are:
Drink 8 glasses of water each day for 100 days. I am at day 1. 99 more to go.
Exercise 90 minutes a week for 23 weeks. I am at week 1. 22 weeks left.
Do not go out for breakfast or lunch during the work week for the month of March. I have made it two days so far.

I just ran a virtual 5K today. It was hard. Because I have been sick for two weeks I have not trained consistently. I was supposed to be half way through C25K by today. I had to restart and am in week 2. I ran the race in 62 minutes which is 5 minutes less than my first 5K when I had been training consistently. My goal is to run another virtual run in a month and to run an actual 5k in May and one in June. My best time on a 5K is 52 minutes so I hope to be able to beat that time by the race in June. My only other goal when running 5Ks is to not finish last and so far I have succeeded althought the one in September it was close.

My dance recital is in May and we just got our costumes. I am a little frustrated with how it fits on me. It really excentuates the belly roll. My goal between now and the end of may is to get my cardio in weekly to burn the fat and to do my toning to help reshape my body. Hopefully this will mean it will not be quite as noticeable. Maybe from the stage it would not be anyway. I don't know.
