Well, I started out hard and fast.
Because the afternoon went fast and furious, I dinna test with the diabetes. I do know I'm going to have to figure out how to test and keep expenses affordable. Testing so many times a day is going to become expensive. I wish there was a cheaper way to do this. Cheek sample of saliva, maybe?
At any rate, I last tested the lunch post-prandial. It was a 113. I don't know if this is on the high side for a post-prandial.
On the positive side, I had a fairly high step count for restarting the step counting, with over 3800 steps, which is over a mile for me. The pedimommymometer says none of them were aerobic.
Food intake yesterday included the egg omelet with veggies, with a few thin slices of pepper jack cheese, some chai and an apple.
Lunch was homemade onion soup ( vegetable broth, onions, a little EVOO), marinated radishes ( rice vinegar, salt and some ACV for tartness) and a palmful of rice in the soup, plus a slice of Harvarti dill cheese. Not too large a slice, since I needed to use it in the soup I made for dinner.
Dinner was homemade soup. I made and ate my potato corn chowder: a can of creamed corn, about 7 medium cut potatoes, 3 cans of milk, a can of water, a splash of vegetable broth, cut onions, about 1/2 of a block of havarti dill cheese, plenty of dill weed, about 2 TBSP of butter, ~ 1/4 c. of mozz. cheese, plenty of dillweed and ~ 1/8 cup of parm cheese.
With picking up M from school early and going to Target, there was plenty of walking there, and then Stations of the Cross and a large parish hall provided for plenty of kneeling and standing and walking the hall. I took a few shots at the basketball hoop but the shoulder still hurts, so can't do that yet. :(
