Kinda sad

Saturday, March 03, 2012

Today I received an email saying I was being removed from the Community Team due to lack of participation. It makes me sad because I do all the things required just not in the right places apparently. With working two jobs and taking my class and trying to get my homework done, there just isn't enough time. So it is what it is. I will still be trying to greet new members and will answer any questions that people have, just shoot me a sparkmail and I will get back to you.

Life isn't fair but it is good! Just keep going and doing what you can. The focus needs to be on your health and sometimes life just does not allow us to do everything as well as we would like. This is NOT a failure on your part!

Sorry I didn't read this sooner - Life has been getting in my way, too!

I dropped out of that team and they ended up making me the featured member when I no longer even belonged. LOL. I got tired of the pressure of doing just what you mentioned. I am welcoming several people every day and don't need any more pressure. They need to relax their requirements. My husband thinks it's ridiculous they we do a lot of their work for free and then get penalized. Men often see things a lot clearer than us. LOL.

Oh my, sorry this bothers you. I just checked the other day and the community thing was taken off my page also, but I don't remember getting an e-mail. Spark has been putting the screws on, deleting people from the suggested reading list if their views disagree with the party line. Meanwhile, people like anarie can say all sorts of nasty things on the main boards no problem. This week there has been a full court press to remove all things HCG-related and paleo-related.

Sometimes our lives take us in different directions. Sometimes we have to let go of one thing to achieve another. Go after what you want.

Sorry for your sadness. If it makes you feel any better. I never choose to be a Community team member. I assumed it would make me feel like sparkpeople was work instead of a place to go and have fun with my spark buddies.

And guess what? About a year ago (give or take) I was voted a "spark people motivator"! So, all the effort I put in to put smiles on sparkers' face, motivate them, encourage them, etc..(.just to give back what those very same sparkers did for me everyday) was notice. And I did not do all of those things for any recognition. Just simply giving back. My advice, YOU continue being the wonderful helpful person you are and LIFE will notice you too!

    take care, Anne

Don't be sad! Focused on your journey and keep up the good work; obviously your schedules are pretty hectic and we cannot do it all. When you have time and able to login longer on the sites, you can still encourage and motivate others by blogging and responding to your sparkmail; May be in the future when things settled a little you can get back on the community team. (seems like you enjoy this activity) emoticon emoticon
